Timecode calculation is supported for addition, subtraction, division and multiplication as well as RCL STO. For the applications that are installed from the App Store, you can simply go to the Launchpad, search for the application, click and hold its icon with your mouse button (or hold down the Option key), then the icon will wiggle and show the “X” in its left upper corner. Click the “X” and click Delete in the confirmation dialog. Tutorial video: In 1998 Matthias Bürcher released a macro to calculate timecodes within Excel. Sadly, Excel 2011 was not supported, and worse, (Mountain) Lion wasn’t either. He finally released a new version in October 2012 which can be downloaded here. Buy license here. (only for Windows!!!) The current version (v.0.9.8) is Leopard (Mac OS 10.5), Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), Lion (Mac OS X 10.7), Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8) and Mavericks (Mac OS X 10.9) compatible. It is Mac Intel only compatible.
More helpful is the capability to mix and match frame rates. For example, let’s say you want to combine a clip of NTSC footage that’s 2 minutes long with a clip of PAL footage that’s 4 minutes long; plus, you also want to split the combined result into 5 separate clips. You’d write the following:
